At 6 years old I can vividly remember taking care of my newborn nephew. When I was 8 my niece was born. I have clear memories of taking care of my 2 year old nephew and infant niece. When I was 12 my sister passed away from lupus, my mom and I had to raise my 6 year old nephew. In 1998, I became engaged to husband. In 2000 we got married . In 2001, my oldest daughter was born. By 2004, I have a 3 ½ yr. old, a 2 yr. old, and a 6 month old. Now its time for preschool—1^st day of school, Cheyenne would not let go of my leg, her teacher Miss Chris gently pried her off and convinced her to “play.” I did a lot of volunteering and was so move by the work that they did. I was in complete amazement to see how engaged they were with the kids. (Miss Chris and Traci).

I realized that my daughter was learning in a way that I hadn’t anticipated, and it was all thanks to Miss Chris and Miss Traci. I knew then that I wanted to work with children. Now as a mother of three teenagers, I am providing quality child care out of my home and loving every minute.
